hw_edittext — Sends the text of a document to the server.

bool hw_edittext(hw_link, object_id);
resource hw_link: Connection ID to the Hyperwave server
int object_id: Object ID of document to edit

TRUE on success; FALSE on failure

hw_edittext() sends the (possibly modified) text of a document on the Hyperwave server. This might be done by using hw_gettext() to fetch a document, using hw_document_setcontent() to update its text, and then saving it back to the server using hw_edittext() .

PHP 3 since 3.0.3, PHP 4

Example 476. Save a document to a Hyperwave server

if (!hw_edittext($hw_link, $document_id)) {
    echo 'Could not save the document. Reason: '  . hw_errormsg($hw_link);
