hw_error

Name

hw_error — Fetches the error code generated by the previously executed Hyperwave command.

Synopsis

int hw_error(hw_link);
resource hw_link: Connection ID to Hyperwave server

Returns

Error code from the previous command; FALSE if an error occurs

Description

hw_error() fetches the error code generated by the previously executed Hyperwave command. An error code of 0means that the previous operation was successful. For a textual explanation of the possible error codes, see hw_errormsg() .

This function doesn't return information about errors that may have occurred separately from the server. Only functions that accept a Hyperwave link identifier as a parameter have error codes that can be reported by hw_error() .

Version

PHP 3 since 3.0.3, PHP 4

Example

Example 477. Check the status of the last operation

hw_gettext($hw_link, $document_id);
if (hw_error()) {
    echo 'Could not fetch existing document: ' . hw_errormsg($hw_link);
}
