gzuncompress

Name

gzuncompress — Uncompresses data using ZLIB compression.

Synopsis

string gzuncompress(data[, length]);
string data: A string of compressed data
int length (optional): Length of uncompressed data

Returns

A string of uncompressed data on success or FALSE on error

Description

Uncompresses a string that was compressed with gzcompress. Returns an error if the uncompressed data is greater than length. This function uncompresses data that was compressed with the gzcompress function.
