ibase_free_result

Name

ibase_free_result — Frees memory used by a result set

Synopsis

boolean ibase_free_result(result);
resource result: Result set handle

Returns

TRUE on success, FALSE on error

Description

Frees memory and other resources associated with the result handle. Since the memory is freed anyway when your script finishes or, in PHP 4, whenever you assign a new result to the variable, although always being good programming practice you should follow, it's not strictly necessary to use this function.

Note

Available in PHP 3 since 3.0.6, PHP 4
