imagecolorexact

Name

imagecolorexact — Determines whether a color is present in an image.

Synopsis

int imagecolorexact(image, red, green, blue);
int image: Image identifier
int red: Red component
int green: Gren component
int blue: Blue component

Returns

Color index or -1 on error

Description

Returns the exact color in the image specified from the red, green, and blue components. If the color is not found, returns -1 to indicate an error. Useful for determining that an image fits a certain requirement. This is also a good example of how you can perform operations on an image without needing to output it at all.

Example

Example 398. Search for an exact color

// search only for green
$uploaded_file = "test_image.png";
$im = imagecreatefrompng($uploaded_file);
if (imagecolorexact($im, 0, 255, 0) == -1) {
    echo "This image does not contain the correct green.\n";
} else {
    echo "This image contains the correct green.\n";
}
imagedestroy($im);
