filepro — Selects a FilePro database for use.


bool filepro(directory);
string directory: Directory containing a FilePro database


TRUE if the FilePro map file can be read; FALSE otherwise


The filepro() function performs several tasks in one operation. It sets the database that will be used in subsequent calls to the other FilePro functions. It also parses fields and row information from the database's map file. This information is can be retrieved using the filepro_fieldname() , filepro_fieldtype() , filepro_fieldwidth() , filepro_fieldcount() , and filepro_rowcount() functions.
