filepro_fieldtype — Gets the type of a FilePro field.

string filepro_fieldtype(field_offset);
integer field_offset: Field offset

The type of the specified field; FALSE on error

filepro_fieldtype() returns the datatype for the specified field. Note that the type returned is the datatype defined by FilePro and has little or no correlation with the PHP datatypes. If the specified field doesn't exist, the function returns FALSE and generates a warning-level error.

Example 294. Show the type of a given field offset

// Show the name and type for the first field
$offset = 0;
echo 'Field ', filepro_fieldname ($offset), ' is of type: ', filepro_fieldtype ($offset), '.';
