dba_replace

Name

dba_replace — Replaces the value of an existing key-value pair (or inserts a new key-value pair) in the database.

Synopsis

bool dba_replace(key, value, dba_resource);
string key: Key to insert
string value: Value to associate with the key
resource dba_resource: Resource handle opened by dba_open() or dba_popen()

Returns

TRUE on success; FALSE on failure

Description

dba_replace() replaces or inserts a key-value pair in a db file. If the key-value pair exists, the value is overwritten with the value contained in the value argument. If the key doesn't exist, the function behaves like dba_insert() , adding a new key-value pair to the database.

If a pair is successfully replaced or inserted, the function returnsTRUE. In all other cases, the function fails and returnsFALSE.
