pg_exec

Name

pg_exec — Executes a database query.

Synopsis

int pg_exec(conn, query);
int conn: Connection ID
string query: SQL statement

Returns

Result identifier; FALSE on error

Description

Executes the SQL statement contained in the query parameter. The database to be queried is specified by the connection ID from either pg_connect() or pg_pconnect() .

$db = pg_connect("host=dbserver dbname=db user=dbuser password=dbpasswd");
$result = pg_exec($db,"DELETE FROM employees WHERE age>65");
