ora_errorcode

Name

ora_errorcode — Gets an Oracle error code.

Synopsis

int ora_errorcode(cursor|conn|global);
resource cursor|conn|global: Cursor or connection handle

Returns

Error code

Description

Oracle database error codes are set in response to an invalid action or error. Calling ora_errorcode() returns the error number.

By specifying no parameter, the last Oracle error is returned. Alternatively, using the connection or cursor identifier as a parameter returns the last error associated with that resource.

Note

As of versions 3.0 and 4.0

Example

Example 886. Display error code

// open a connection
if (!$db = @ora_logon("wrong@ORCL","dev")) {
        $error = ora_errorcode();
        printf("There was an error connecting. Error code was: %s", $error);
        die();
}

$curs = ora_open($db);
ora_parse($curs,"SELECT * FROM phone_numbers");
ora_exec($curs);
