imap_append

Name

imap_append — Appends a message to the specified mailbox.

Synopsis

bool imap_append(connection, mailbox, message[, flags]);
int connection: IMAP Connection ID
string mailbox: Mailbox name
string message: Message to be appended to mailbox
int flags (optional): Optional flags

Returns

TRUE on success; FALSE on error

Description

Appends the message message to the mailbox specified by mailbox .

If the optional flags are specified, then the flags are also written to the mailbox along with the message.

Warning

When using the Cyrus IMAP server, "\r\n" must be used as the end-of-line terminator instead of "\n" or the operation will fail.
