hw_getandlock

Name

hw_getandlock — Fetches the object record string from an object and locks the object.

Synopsis

string hw_getandlock(hw_link, object_id);
resource hw_link: Connection ID to Hyperwave server
int object_id: ID of object to be examined

Returns

Object record string; FALSE on error

Description

hw_getandlock() returns the object record string from an object, and locks the object so that other users cannot alter it until you release the lock. This is useful if you need to update the object attributes.

Please remember to unlock any locked objects with hw_unlock() when you're done.
