imagefilltoborder

Name

imagefilltoborder — Fills an image area.

Synopsis

int imagefilltoborder(image, x, y, border, color);
int image: Image identifier
int x: X coordinate
int y: Y coordinate
int border: Border color
int color: Specified color

Returns

TRUE on success

Description

Fills an area bounded by a border of a specified color with another specified color. The only drawback of this function is that it doesn't do any edge detection, so an overlapping area bounded by differently colored borders cannot be filled. However, if the border is a uniform color, the color can either be directly specified or derived using a function such as imagecolorat() .

Example

Example 420. Fill overlapping rectangles

header("Content-type: image/gif");
$im = imagecreate(200, 200);
$green = imagecolorallocate($im, 0, 255, 0);
$red = imagecolorallocate($im, 255, 0, 0);
$blue = imagecolorallocate($im, 0, 0, 255);
imagerectangle($im, 20, 20, 120, 90, $red);
imagerectangle($im, 50, 60, 160, 120, $red);
imagefilltoborder($im, 61, 61, $red, $blue);
imagegif($im);
imagedestroy($im);
