dbase_numrecords

Name

dbase_numrecords — Gets the number of records (rows) in a dbf file.

Synopsis

int dbase_numrecords(dbf_identifier);
int dbf_identifier: dbf identifier

Returns

Number of records in a dbf file; FALSE on error

Description

dbase_numrecords() returns the number of records (rows) in a dbf file. Row numbers start at 1 and continue to the number of records in the dbf file; that is, valid record numbers for a dbf file with four records range from 1 to 4.

If the dbf_identifier argument doesn't refer to an open dbf file, FALSE is returned.
