dba_firstkeySynopsis
Descriptiondba_firstkey() resets the db pointer to the start of the db file and returns the name of the first key in the db file. If the key cannot be read, the function returns FALSE. This function is most often used with dba_nextkey() to iterate over each key-value pair in the db file. ExampleExample 214. Display every key-value pair in a db file
<?php $db_file = '/tmp/passwords.db'; $dba_handle = dba_open ($db_file, 'n', 'gdbm') or die ("File $db_file could not be opened, does not exist, or is not a db file."); $key = dba_firstkey ($dba_handle) if ($key === FALSE) die ("The first key could not be read from file $db_file."); while ($key !== FALSE) { printf ("%-'.16s..%'.16s\n", "$key", dba_fetch ($key, $dba_handle)); $key = dba_nextkey ($dba_handle); } ?>
