Search Results: Shorten title and description?

I've looked everywhere and can't seem to figure out how to limit the number of characters in long titles, and to limit the length of the description in the search results.

What do I need to do to change the display?

I figured out how to fix the description... I kept playing around with settings in config.php, but I couldn't see the difference between a snippet, description, and summary... finally got it!

Now... how do I shorten the title? I want it to stop long titles like google does, and add "..."
