I have inherited a php MySQL Linux environment which is using phpDig 1.8.0 to create a site index.
This system had been working fine.
Recently, problems have arisen.
1) Some words are found, others are not.
2) Using the browser admin tool, I inadvertently excluded a directory from being indexed. And now, I see no way to include it back.
3) I have looked at the MySQL tables that phpDig creates and uses.
4) The exclude table is empty – even though my excluded directory is excluded.
5) The keywords table is full of non-relevant elements, such as 00- 01, A, A!, etc.
6) The menu options on the phpDig admin window ‘Clean Index’ what does this do?
7) The option ‘Clean Directory’ and ‘Clean Common Words’
8) I can’t afford to guess here.
Suggestions?
Affordable consulting?
I am not a Linux person, and have been using MySQL and php for about a year, other programming languages and tools for 18 years.
Thanks
