gzwrite
Name
gzwrite — Write a string to a compressed file.
Synopsis
int gzwrite
(zp, String[,
Length]);
int zp: File pointer
string String: String to
write
int Length (optional):
Number of bytes to write
Returns
number fo bytes written on success or FALSE on failure
Description
Writes the specified string to a gzip file. The optional
string length argument allows the file to stop being
written after a specified length. If the string reaches
EOF before the specified length is reached, writing also
stops. gzwrite() can also be used to compress binary
files.
