sybase_fetch_field — Displays information about a field.


object sybase_fetch_field(result[, field]);
int result: Result identifier
int field (optional): Field offset


Field information or FALSE on error


Returns an object containing information about the field. The field offset numbering starts at 0, and is optional on second and subsequent calls and advances to the next field. The object returned has four properties:

name Name of the field
column_source Table from which the column originated
max_length Maximum length of the column
numeric Flag indicating whether the field is of a numeric type
type Column datatype
