swf_definebitmap

Name

swf_definebitmap — Load a bitmap file

Synopsis

void swf_definebitmap(id, file);
id id: Object identifier
string file: Location of image file

Returns

Void

Description

Loads a bitmap file into the flash file for display. The file can be one of the following: GIF, JPG, RGB or FI. The FI (Flash Image) format is prefereable as other image types need to be converted before use which adds to processing overhead.

For file processing, the program 'imgtofi' must either be in a subdirectory named 'bin' under the directory where the scripts are stored. The alternative is to define the location of the imgtofi program using the environment variable SWFBINPATH.

Version

Existing since version 4.0

Example

Example 1254. Load and display bitmap properties

putenv("SWFBINPATH=/usr/local/bin");
swf_openfile ("test.swf", 100, 100, 30, 0.8, 0.8, 0.8);
