xslt_create

Name

xslt_create — Creates a Sablotron parser and returns a handle to it.

Synopsis

xslt_create(void)

Returns

A handle to the created parser, or FALSE on error.

Description

When you need slightly lower-level access to Sablotron, you can create a Sablotron parser and more directly handle the parsing of XML data. The returned parser handle may then be used with the Sablotron functions xlst_run() , xslt_fetch_result() , xslt_error() , xslt_errno() , xslt_openlog() , xslt_closelog() , and xslt_set_sax_handler() . The parser may later be destroyed with xslt_close() .

Example

Example 1136. Creating a Sablotron parser

<?php
if (!$xslt = xslt_create()) {
    echo "Failed to create Sablotron parser.\n";
    return false;
} else {
    echo "Created Sablotron parser with handle ID '$xslt'\n";
}
?>
