pg_freeresult
Name
pg_freeresult — Frees query memory.
Synopsis
string pg_freeresult
(result);
int result: Result
identifier
Returns
TRUE on success; FALSE on error
Description
pg_freeresult() can be used as a memory cleaner at
any time after a query is run. All query results are
stored in memory and then retrieved from memory when
necessary. If you're concerned that your query may use
too much memory in your script, calling
pg_freeresult() will free the result memory. You
really only need this if you're going to be making lots
of queries in a script or if your query returns large
amounts of data.
Example
Example 1040. Free query
memory
$db = pg_connect("host=dbserver dbname=db user=dbuser password=dbpasswd");
$result = pg_exec($db,"SELECT * FROM employees");
pg_freeresult($result);
