pg_fieldisnull

Name

pg_fieldisnull — Test the NULL status of a field.

Synopsis

int pg_fieldisnull(result, row, field);
int result: Result identifier
int row: Row number
mixed field: Field

Returns

1 if the field value is NULL; 0 if not NULL

Description

Tests whether a field contains a NULL value; returns 1 if the field is NULL or 0 if it's not. The field can be specified as a number (field offset) starting at 0, or by using the field name.

$db = pg_connect("host=dbserver dbname=db user=dbuser password=dbpasswd");
$sql = "SELECT photo FROM employees";
if (!$result = @pg_exec($sql)) {
