pdf_setgray — Sets drawing and filling color to gray value

bool pdf_setgray(pdf, gray);
resource pdf: PDF object identifier
double gray: Amount of gray fill

Always TRUE

Controls the amount of gray color in drawn and filled object. This differs from pdf_setgray_fill() and pdf_setgray_stroke() in that is also affects text as well.

Values of gray should be between 0.0 and 1.0 with 0.0 being black and 1.0 being white

Since versions 3.0.6 and 4.0

Example 973. Draw shades of grey

// create new document
$pdf = pdf_new();
pdf_begin_page($pdf, 500, 700);

// light gray
pdf_setgray($pdf, 0.9);
pdf_rect($pdf, 30, 640, 180, 30);

// darker again
pdf_setgray($pdf, 0.6);
pdf_rect($pdf, 30, 600, 180, 30);

// darker still
pdf_setgray($pdf, 0.3);
$font = pdf_findfont($pdf, "Courier", "host", 0);
pdf_setfont($pdf, $font, 20);
pdf_show_xy($pdf, "Hello World", 30, 580);

// black
pdf_setgray($pdf, 0);
pdf_show_xy($pdf, "Hello World", 30, 550);

// output document
$data = pdf_get_buffer($pdf);
header("Content-type: application/pdf");
header("Content-disposition: inline; filename=test.pdf");
header("Content-length: " . strlen($data));
echo $data;
