pdf_scale

Name

pdf_scale — Sets coordinate scaling

Synopsis

bool pdf_scale(pdf, x, y);
resource pdf: PDF object identifier
double x: X axis scale amount
double y: Y axis scale amount

Returns

Always TRUE

Description

Scales the coordinate system rather than the object itself. This affects not only x and y coordinates when placing shapes but the width, height, line width and radius of shapes as well.

In the example below, the coordinate system is scaled up by a factor of two each time. Note how the circle placement, the radius and the line width also change.

Version

Since versions 3.0.6 and 4.0

Example

Example 960. Draw circles

<?php

// create new document
$pdf = pdf_new();
pdf_open_file($pdf);
pdf_begin_page($pdf, 500, 700);

// draw and stroke circle
pdf_circle($pdf, 50, 50, 10);
pdf_stroke($pdf);

// scale a redraw a circle
pdf_scale($pdf, 2, 2);
pdf_circle($pdf, 50, 50, 10);
pdf_stroke($pdf);

// scale and draw another circle
pdf_scale($pdf, 2, 2);
pdf_circle($pdf, 100, 100, 10);
pdf_stroke($pdf);

pdf_end_page($pdf);
pdf_close($pdf);

// output document
$data = pdf_get_buffer($pdf);
header("Content-type: application/pdf");
header("Content-disposition: inline; filename=test.pdf");
header("Content-length: " . strlen($data));
echo $data;
?>
