Total row count or FALSE on error

if (!$db = @ocinlogon("dev","dev", "ORCL")) {

    die();
}

if (!$stmt = @ociparse($db,"SELECT * FROM phone_numbers")) {
    $error = ocierror($db);
    printf("ociparse error: %s", $error["message"]);

    if (!@ociexecute($stmt)) {
        $error = ocierror($stmt);
        printf("OCIEXECUTE error:%s", $error["message"]);
