ocicolumntyperaw — Tell the raw oracle data type of a column

Synopsis

mixed ocicolumntyperaw(stmt, col);
int stmt: Statement handler
int col: Column number

Returns

Column type or FALSE on error

Description

Returns the raw type of a column at the position specified by col . Column number starts from 1.

This function returns the column types as a number which are the low level column mappings in Oracle. It is not necessary to list all the column types here. For a complete list consult the list of input data types in $ORACLE_HOME/rdbms/demo/ocidfn.h.
