mysql_list_dbsSynopsis
Descriptionmysql_list_dbs() fetches a list of the databases available for a given connection and returns a mysql result handle that can be traversed with mysql_result() . If the connection argument is not specified, the last connection opened will be used. If no connection is open, mysql_list_dbs() attempts to connect to a MySQL database by calling mysql_connect() without arguments. ExampleExample 818. Display a list of all databases on the current MySQL server <?php // Included code that connects to a MySQL server and sets a default database // See the MySQL Functions chapter introduction for the source code for the file include ('mysql_connect.inc.php'); $result_handle = mysql_list_dbs () or die ("mysql_list_dbs() failed with this error message: '" . mysql_error () . "'"); $number_rows = mysql_num_rows ($result_handle); echo "The MySQL server on '$host' contains $number_rows databases:<ol>"; for ($index=0; $index < $number_rows; ++$index) { echo '<li>', mysql_result ($result_handle, $index, 0), '</li>'; } echo '</ol>'; ?>
