mssql_fetch_row
Name
mssql_fetch_row — Fetches a row of data as an array.
Synopsis
array mssql_fetch_row
(result);
int result: Result
identifier
Returns
Array containing current record or FALSE
Description
Reads the current row in the Microsoft SQL Server result
set and returns an array with each element containing the
value of the corresponding field. The array elements are
in the same order as the fields returned from the query.
You should be very careful using "SELECT * FROM table"
with this function, as you can't guarantee the order of
the fields returned from the database.
Example
Example 769. Retrieve rows
from a query
$db = @mssql_connect("server","sa","password") or die("Unable to connect to server");
mssql_select_db("pubs");
$result = mssql_query("SELECT * FROM authors");
while ($row = mssql_fetch_row($result)) {
printf("%s %s<BR>\n", $row[2], $row[1]);
}
