mcrypt_ecb

Name

mcrypt_ecb — Electronic Code Book (ECB) is a scheme for encrypting and decrypting data and is most often used for key encryption.

Synopsis

string mcrypt_ecb(ConstCipher, SecretKey, data, mode);
int ConstCipher: mcrypt constant representing a specific algorithm
string SecretKey: key used for encrypting and decrypting
string data: Data to be encrypted or decrypted
int mode: Specifies whether to encrypt or decrypt

Returns

A string with encrypted or decrypted data

Description

Encrypts or decrypts data based on the specified algorithm and secret key. To encrypt, use a mode of MCRYPT_ENCRYPT. To decrypt, use a mode of MCRYPT_DECRYPT.
