mcrypt_cfb — Cipher feedback is a scheme of encrypting and decrypting data and is most often used with byte streams.

string mcrypt_cfb(ConstCipher, SecretKey, data, mode, iv);
int ConstCipher: MCRYPT Constant representing a specific algorithm
string SecretKey: key used for encrypting and decrypting
string data: Data to be encrypted or decrypted
int mode: Specifies whether to encrypt or decrypt
string iv: initialization vector

A string with encrypted or decrypted data

Encrypts or decrypts data based on the specified algorithm and secret key. To encrypt use a mode of MCRYPT_ENCRYPT. To decrypt, use a mode of MCRYPT_DECRYPT.

Example 736. Encrypt data with TripleDES encryption

$secretkey = "123 secret key";
$data = "The boat will sail at midnight.";
$bsize = mcrypt_get_block_size(MCRYPT_TripleDES);
$iv = mcrypt_create_iv($bsize, MCRYPT_DEV_URANDOM);
$EncryptedData = mcrypt_cfb(MCRYPT_TripleDES, $secretkey, $data, MCRYPT_ENCRYPT, $iv);
