mcal_event_set_description — Attach a description to the stream's global event

void mcal_event_set_description(MCALconnection, description);
int MCALconnection: An open MCAL connection
string description: The long description of the event

FALSE on error, otherwise NULL

Events have a short summary, set by mcal_event_set_title() , and a longer freeform text field, controlled by this function. This is equivalent to the Note field in Palm data, and is a freeform field for storing any information about an event that doesn't fit anywhere else.

PHP 3 since 3.0.13, PHP 4 since 4.0b4

Example 710. Setting an event's description

$calendar = "{/mstore}<mycalendar>";
$MCALconnection = mcal_open($calendar, "username", "password");

// Set the description of the event
$description = "Don't forget to bring punch.";
mcal_event_set_description($MCALconnection, $description);
