ldap_list — A simple single-level searching function.


resource ldap_list(connectionID, base, filter[, attributes][, attronly][, sizelimit][, timelimit][, dereference]);
mixed connectionID: Connection ID, either a host or array of hosts
string base: Base distinguished name to use in the search
string filter: Search filter conforming to RFC 1960 and/or 2254
array attributes (optional): Attributes to be returned
int attronly (optional): Whether to return only attribute names
int sizelimit (optional): Maximum number of entries to be returned
int timelimit (optional): Maximum number of seconds to run the search
int dereference (optional): Whether to dereference (not follow references) in the search


Result ID; FALSE on error


Performs a search on an LDAP directory using the specified filter and a scope of one level. If a match is not found, the function returnsFALSE. The optional attributes can be used to control searching parameters. This function only returns entries a single level below the base distinguished name (DN). For example, if you per formed a search with the following base: "ou=People,dc=foo,dc=com" ldap_list() would not return results such as this:"uid=foomaster,department=bar,ou=People,dc=foo,dc=com" but could return an entry like this:
