What is PhpDig?
PhpDig is a PHP MySQL based
Web Spider & Search Engine.

hw_getremote — Returns the object ID of a remote document.

int hw_getremote(hw_link, object_id);
resource hw_link: Connection ID to Hyperwave server
int object_id: Object ID of the remote object to retrieve

Document ID on success; FALSE on failure

This function is used to access a remote document via the Hyperwave Gateway Interface (HGI). While HGI currently offers access to HTTP and FTP documents as well as some databases, many types of remote documents are more easily accessed using PHP instead of going through HGI.

PHP 3 since 3.0.3, PHP 4

Example 499. Fetch a remote document with HGI

if (($doc_id = hw_getremote($hw_link, $remote_id)) === FALSE) {
    echo "Failed to get remote document; reason: " . hw_errormsg($hw_link);
