Description

bindtextdomain() associates a directory path with a gettext text domain. This domain is used by calls to textdomain() to set the directory where gettext searches for translations to messages passed to the gettext() function. It is the directory under which the language-code named subdirectories (e.g., "fr", "sp") are located.
