cpdf_openDescriptionOpens a new PDF document and returns a new document identifier which is passed to other functions. If compression has any other value than 0, document compression will be turned on. If a filename is not speicifed, the document is created in memory and must be output using cpdf_output_buffer() or cpdf_save_to_file() . If a file name is specified, the file will automatically be saved when the document is closed using cpdf_close() . ExampleExample 137. Create an in-memory document // start a PDF document $cpdf = cpdf_open(0); // create a 600x400 page cpdf_page_init($cpdf, 1, 0, 600, 400, 1); // display text cpdf_begin_text($cpdf); cpdf_set_font($cpdf, "Helvetica", 18, "WinAnsiEncoding"); cpdf_show_xy($cpdf, "This is a test", 50, 500); cpdf_end_text($cpdf); // finish page cpdf_finalize($cpdf); // write out to browser header("Content-type: application/pdf"); cpdf_output_buffer($cpdf); cpdf_close($cpdf); Example 138. Create a document on disk // start a PDF document $cpdf = cpdf_open(0, "test.pdf"); // create a 600x400 page cpdf_page_init($cpdf, 1, 0, 600, 400, 1); // display text cpdf_begin_text($cpdf); cpdf_set_font($cpdf, "Helvetica", 18, "WinAnsiEncoding"); cpdf_show_xy($cpdf, "This is a test", 50, 500); cpdf_end_text($cpdf); // close and write document cpdf_finalize($cpdf); cpdf_close($cpdf);
