cpdf_finalize_page

Name

cpdf_finalize_page — Ends page

Synopsis

bool cpdf_finalize_page(pdfdoc, pagenr);
resource pdfdoc: PDF document identifier
int pagenr: Page number

Returns

TRUE on success or FALSE on error

Description

Ends a page started with cpdf_page_init() . Normally, pages can be reedited using cpdf_set_current_page() . However, a finalized page cannot be modified anymore, but it does consume less memory if creating complex documents.

When creating single page documents this function is not necessary and cpdf_finalize() will finish the page.

Version

Since versions 3.0.10 and 4.0

Example

Example 131. Create a two page document

// start a PDF document
$cpdf = cpdf_open(0, "test.pdf");

// create the first 600x400 page
cpdf_page_init($cpdf, 1, 0, 600, 400, 1);

// display text on first page
cpdf_begin_text($cpdf);
cpdf_set_font($cpdf, "Helvetica", 18, "WinAnsiEncoding");
cpdf_show_xy($cpdf, "First page", 50, 500);
cpdf_end_text($cpdf);

// finish page one
cpdf_finalize_page($cpdf, 1);

// create the second page at 400x400
cpdf_page_init($cpdf, 2, 0, 400, 400, 1);

// display text on second page
cpdf_begin_text($cpdf);
cpdf_set_font($cpdf, "Helvetica", 18, "WinAnsiEncoding");
cpdf_show_xy($cpdf, "Next page", 50, 300);
cpdf_end_text($cpdf);

// finish the second page
cpdf_finalize_page($cpdf, 2);

// close and write document
cpdf_finalize($cpdf);
cpdf_close($cpdf);
