catdoc & xls2csv binaries

Hi there, got phpdig working including pdf indexing, but still have this stupid problem: I just can't find plain *NIX versions of catdoc and xls2csv! Can anybody help me?

edit: the reason being off course, that I don't have a possibility of compiling it myself

Hi. Both catdoc and xls2csv are released under GNU GPL so basically the source code is to accompany any redistribution of the compiled files. That, along with differences in OS and compilers themselves, may be why you don't find the compiled versions available. Perhaps check and see if you have access to g++ so that you could compile the files, or you might try asking over at http://www.45.free.net/~vitus/ice/catdoc/
