posible to search in a mysql database

Hello.

I downloaded phpdig yesterday.
And now I have a couple of questions:

1. Is it posible to search in a mysql database because many of my articles are in a mySQL db on localhost.

2. Where can I get the external binaries to search in word and excel files? And how can I install it?

many thx for your help...

Hi. For one, PhpDig spiders links found in webpages and uses that information for the search engine. For two, please see this section.

Hi. No, PhpDig crawls webpages, dumps info into its own database tables, and uses that info for the search engine.
