Things done so far

Hi. Antoine has given the okay via Rolandks (thanks Rolandks) for PhpDig to be moved here. Most documentation has been moved over. There is still some work to be done to set up the French documentation on this site. The PhpDig demo has also been set up. If Antoine's message board database tables are sent, then they can be added to this site as reference material. Mod submissions are being made (thanks Iltud) and can be incorporated in the next release of PhpDig. If you have any comments or suggestions, feel free to post them, and thanks for stopping by.

My opinion

I think that the work on phpDig could be done in tw times :

First, create a minor release (numbered 1.6.3), with only bugfixes : missing l_time column, phpDigInclude indexed, bug for binary file (I didn't understand this one ), etc...

A such release can help most users beginning with phpDig and avoid the same questions in the forum.

Then, create a major release (numbered 1.7.0 ?), with new features and mods inclusions (and bugfixes of course).

About my proxy-mod : It MUST be tested by anyone else, especially with sites needing authentication. I'm almost sure there's a bug with this.

To do good work, It's perhaps a good choice to make public 1.7.0-pre1 or 1.7.0-beta1 versions during tests.

phpDig isn't to buy, not purchasable.

phpDig is a software under GPLv2 license. See http://www.phpdig.net/scripts/license.txt for more details.

If the next release of phpDig needs some datebase modifications, there will be a script called like /sql/update_to_1.6.x.sql.

Thx
Nicolas

That's not completely true.

You CAN buy or sell GPL code.
Stallmann says "Free as in Freedom, not as in free beer".

The only not allowed thing is to make the code closed source.
