removing 'Powered by' allowed?

Hi,

couldnt find a cat where i could post this...

Is it allowed to remove the visible powered by buttons/links so its only written in the codes?

Hi. The GNU/GPL license, Version 2, does not require you to keep the "Powered by PhpDig" link in your pages, just reference in the package itself must stay for redistribution, but personally it would be nice if the link remained.
