No. When your web host created the subdomain, they created a folder under which all those files should be moved. Check with them if you are unsure as to how they set it up.
Something else that I thought about after posting yesterday though. If your site is indexed with the search engines under the old sub-folder structure and you move them around like I suggested, you will probably want to setup some redirects from the old file locations to the new. That way, your site's visitors won't get a 404 when they try to access the pages through the old location.
