Error Displaying Results By Meta Description
I just modified my config.php file so that search results would display by meta descriptions, as discussed in this thread. One thing that I noticed when I made this change was that, depending on the number of characters in the meta description (including spaces), phpdig would include a ">" symbol at the end of the meta description in the search results.
This seems to affect only short meta descriptions and not longer ones. For example, one description that has a total of 145 characters doesn't display the ">" symbol at the end. However, another one I looked at with 72 characters total has the ">" symbol at the end. Don't know if this has any bearing on the problem, but I have SUMMARY_DISPLAY_LENGTH set at 150. |
