Indexing 2 different languages
I’ve a website with 2 languages (english & german) and have divided it into 2 directories:
english german My provider has created 2 subdomains: http://english.minedition.com/ http://german.minedition.com/ Whan I’m indexing the english section, I choose the URL: http://english.minedition.com/english/index.html and it works fine. But when I want to index the german section: http://german.minedition.com/german/index.html there comes this message: SITE : http://german.minedition.com/ Exclude paths : - @NONE@ 1:http://german.minedition.com/german/index.html (time : 00:00:05) No link in temporary table links found : 1 http://german.minedition.com/german/index.html Optimizing tables... Indexing complete ! I have installed the search engine 2 times because I want an english and a german result page. These are the pathes to the search engines: http://german.minedition.com/german/phpdig_dir/admin/ http://english.minedition.com/english/phpdig_dir/admin/ What is wrong? Thank you for helping? Sounds like you may have used the default search depth of zero for the German subdomain. That will only result in one link in the table. Try setting the search depth to 4 or 5 and update your German index. I'm betting that will do the trick.
Let us know how it goes. |
Hello Pat,
nice to hear again from you. I have solved problem. The mysql-database was damaged. I’ve created it new. Now it works. But I have another problem. See my the thread "Problems with snippets and 2 languages". |
