Indexing problem
hello , sorry to open this kind of question but unable to read previous answer :
i install phpdig on my webserver unix solaris 8/apache/mysql/php it seems to install correctly but when i try to index my intranet site (which is on the same server) i got the result : SITE : http://aww.myintranetsite.fr/ Exclude paths : - @NONE@ 1:http://aww.myintranetsite.fr/ (time : 00:00:05) No link in temporary table links found : 1 http://aww.myintranetsite.fr/ Optimizing tables... Indexing complete ! and there is no data in the database, phpdig can't spide into subdirectory for information my website needs authentification i try to index with webmaster account or web owner account no result thanx in advance |
Think of PhpDig as just some r****m person surfing your site. If that r****m person cannot see your protected content, then neither can PhpDig. If you are using HTTP authentication (an htaccess file) then you can have PhpDig crawl the content by using http://username:password@www.domain.com but note that using such a link will send the username and password in plain text.
