Bandwidth requirements?
 
If I were to use this script to index about 300-500 local pages on several hundred offsite domains, and subpages from those (so theoretically about 2500-5000 pages) ... should I have seperate web account for this?

It depends on how much bandwidth you have to use and whether those pages count against your bandwidth.
