Help me with my kick ass web site.
 

Hi,
I am a new boy on the block learning the ropes. This is the first time I ever joined a forum. My aim is to build a kick ass web site using php and msql which I am slowly learning.

I have the book 'PHP and Mysql for Dynamic Web Sites' by Larry Ullman. I have Mysql and the apache server installed on my Windows ME. I was directed to this site because of my interest in a search engine. I hope Phpdig will be OK. Will it be able to search the database I am building ? I haven't downloaded it yet. I would like a search engine that will search specifically for cirtain data from the database as well as a general site search.

I am sure I will require your help in the future and I would like to thank you all in advance.
