No results when searching for the same keywords
Hi.
I thought it was something I did wrong when installing PhpDig, but I've reproduced the error on your demo. So, here it is: When searching for the same keywords (e.g. "apache server"), PhpDig returns no results. Steps I've taken on this site: 1. Go to Demo 1.8.3 (http://www.phpdig.net/navigation.php?action=demo) 2. Click Go => 6 results 3. Click Go => 6 results 4. Click Go => No results (!!!) 5. Click Go => 6 results 6. Click Go => No results (!!!) and so on. I've noticed the problem when searching for variants of the same word (Timiºoara & Timisoara) on a site indexed with PHPDIG_ENCODING = iso-8859-2. Is there a fix? Thank you! Florin Vidu Timisoara, Romania |
Hi. That's not an error. Here's how it works...
1. no site was specified on the demo page so search all sites available 2. found results and now the default site is phpdig.net so just search it 3. found results so give option to narrow search to a path within phpdig.net 4. no results found for the selected path so go back to the default site 5. found results so give option to narrow search to a path within phpdig.net 6. no results found for the selected path so go back to the default site If you don't like the dropdown menu, just turn it off in the config file. ;) |
Thank you for your quick reply! I've turned off the menu and now everything works as expected. (!)
