Multiple forms and limiting searches
Hi there diggers!,
I havent installed yet because i wanted to find the answer to the following; Is it possible to have multiple phpdig search forms that are limited to specific directories and dynamic urls? For example I want to be able to ONLY search /news/mediarelease.php?id=MYID with one form and then only search /reports/mypdfs with a another form. Obviously you have to installand spider the site first.I read the documentation and scanned the forums but couldnt type well enough or no one has asked this before.{unlikely} cheers slipsy |

Thanks for the welcome!
Have it installed and will be replacing cgi search script soon. However, I still have some questions not answered by the very helpful links you posted. I have understood creating a custom form to search only specific directories and sites by passing hidden vars to phpdig. But what happens is that when you go to search again, you are searching site wide. What i want to do is use php dig to provide directory specific searching that shows results with a search form that will still use the specific directory criteria I supply. Does this make sense? slipsy |
