auto re-indexing on shared hosting server
 

Hi all.

after a successful php dig installation and template customization, I have now realised that I am going to need an auto update of the site every week.

I am running my website on a shared server and I do not have any shell/cron experience. I do have the ability to set up cron jobs using cpanel, although this is something that I have never done.

I have read the extensive thread about auto re-indexing using a cron job posted mainly by Charter, but this is going over my head a bit.

Can anyone help me out with a couple of simple pointers to get an auto re-index routine up and running??? Also, to make it slightly more complicated the site has a cms which allows the user to add new pages.

any help appreciated.

Hi mental cube, just search the forums for cpanel and cron or bust out an email to your host.
